More of a chance than spies has got keeping his ride Espargaro has nearly got ahead of him in the championship and im sure Dovi has a good chance at the ride aswell.

Here here Cal!

I have no doubt you'd do better than the other factory rider. You have beaten him 5 out of 6 times.

The question is whether or not Yamaha are preapred to give Dovi another shot with a factory ride?

Lets not forget that Dovi has been MotoGP for a few more years than Cal so he may have reached his limit, whereas Cal is still improving.

Omne things for sure, if Cal beats Dovi in the chmapionship, or finishes very close behind him, it would be an outrage if Dovi secured the ride over Cal.

It's great that we've got a British rider who genuinely has a chance of a factory ride. If I were Yamaha (both teams), I would be considering
Crutchlow
Rossi
Dovi
Iannone
Luthi
Redding
Espargaro
Smith
Rea
in that order.
