At last a Brit who's not scared to say what their objection is in MotoGP! Nothing wrong with voicing one's ambition. Just keep your head on Cal and keep up the progress at a nice steady rate, good work so far this year mate!

Cal has some talent and guts but let's get real here.

The big change in his performance this year is due to the new bike.
Since this is the first year of the 1000s (since the 800s) there isn't the normally huge difference between the factory bikes and his bike. THEY ARE ALL NEW. Wait until next year or perhaps past mid season after the factory bikes get their upgrades. Then we'll see a truer picture of Cal's performance.

Also, the CRT bikes shouldn't even be on the track. They are like racing street bikes compared to the motogp prototype bikes.

A joke.

It's going ok up to now CC, just keep out of the gravel, that's what JT should have told you!
It would be nice if the media in this country (the Beeb excepted) woke up and realised who the %*&$ you were instead of being fixated with bloody divers and rowers.

how would a bigger difference in bikes show cal's true potential?

its the exact opposite, isn't it? if he's snapping at the heels of all the faster guys on what is right now more or less an even playing field, i think that shows his potential plenty!

his potential will show even better if he starts getting podiums or even better, wins. A gutsy ride from the back to finish 6th is nice and makes for good viewing but it is nowhere near a podium. I dont want to come off as a pessimist but lets be a bit more pragmatic shall we?

@meagainohyah

You can't be serious. You're saying that Crutchlow is mixing it up with the factory boys because of parity between the factory and customer bikes, and that once the factory bikes get their upgrades (i.e. when Cal's bike is slower) "we'll see a truer picture of Cal's performance". Riiiight. Keep on smoking that green stuff and send some my way.

I believe you can DO Cal, we need a Brit to be a MotoGp Champion, but you need to beat Lorenzo next Year, Marquez the following Year and the only way is to get a factory ride!!!..How about a Ducati? A Honda if Yamaha isn't giving one, or Maybe BMW will enter MotoGP in 2014...

“Hopefully it will continue on and we can make that next jump next year as well."

-We hope too, just don't break yourself trying, would you.
