Well, that was a tight session, although some things need to be considered:

-Spies, Crutchlow, Hayden and Dovizioso (probably Rossi too) used the soft rear to make their best laps, while Bautista, Lorenzo and Pedrosa were on the hard rear

-Stoner must have had some trouble with his bike, as he spent almost the whole second half of the practice in his box

Tomorrow it should be business back as usual, but it's good to see Spies performing well and Crutchlow too despite his injured foot.

some technical problems for stoner eh...

as for the ducati boys

both rossi's and hayden's fast laps were a one time thing.....both around 7-8 tenths slower on their other fast laps

race pace wise, off the prototypes, rossi, hayden, bradl and barbera all go into the low 1.36's while the rest can do consistent 1.35's

rossi cant seem to do fast laps on his own apparently....hayden did a 1.34 on a soft...so suppose they manage to get the tire wear down, he could be fighting with the front runners consistently....

rossi on the other hand got a tow from pedrosa which got him his best lap which was still 3 tenths down on hayden who got his lap on his own.....so basically rossi somehow cant do those fast laps no matter what....ok his race pace may be similar but you cant get great finishes starting so behind
