According to all the crash.net experts posts yesterday and this morning he was only riding the bike 9/10ths and somehow made the Honda slower than last years 800!!! Imagine if he was riding 10/10ths and hadn't stuffed the design of the bike up!

True mastery of sanbagging until last lap. Beats me that in his pole lap top sped was 10kmh slower than on Pedrosa's fast lap :O

Hayden is improving .but this improvement is not enough to compete with yamaha and honda .

Why oh why did Cal not give himself at least two attemps at a flying lap like Lorenzo and Stoner? 5th place is good, but it just seems like a missed opportunity.

And I think it'd be good if all Moto classes adopted the WSBK format of qualifying, then we would have bkies on the track what ever the weather conditions, and it might help with the Moto 2 and 3 classes that keep having problems with riders cruising round looking for a tow - you don't have the time to do that in WSBK.
