In my opinion, he shold get more penalty than being last on the grid for one race only. How about three or five races or even the rest of the season...? This is extrenely dangerous riding and the organizers need to use powerful methods to get rid of this. Do not forget that he cleaned out the entire Ducati team with a similar manouver in Valencia last year, so he has obviously learnt nothing...!

Tom thats one stupid comment. I guess you are not really a racing fan and to wish to somebode that they get hurt doing something called racing or anything else is just utter bulls...

I don't really get your comment about Simo. It's a tragedy that he's no longer with us but are we supposed to forget some of his more "enthusiastic" moments? Let's not rewrite history through rose tinted glasses. As for Bautista, no better or worse than most of the riders on the grid have done in their time. If he'd taken out a CRT no one would really care.

Like Cal said... The dude was still on the gas and shifting when everybody else was braking for the corner. Simo had crashes due to pushing too hard with cold tires. Not the same thing as this. Today was not a racing accident. It was just plain foolish.

Bautista made a mistake for sure but he knows he has to start coming up with the goods so he had to make a good start but it didn't work out this time. As far as I am aware Stoners ride for next year is not official so riders need to up their game and I am sure Honda has been watching Bautista, in this case Honda will be very thankful!

Unfortunately, championship contenders have been getting taken out of races due to no fault of their own for years - Stoner, Pedrosa, and Lorenzo all suffered it last year. Even team mates can do's not that long ago (2006) that Pedrosa took out Hayden, and Gibenau took out Capirosi - both when they were lining up the title.

It's not what you want to see (unless you've got issues), but it is one of the risks of racing. Bautista screwed up without any doubt. Definitely unfair on Lorenzo, and he didn't deserve it at all. But it happens, and we move on. Thankfully, no-one was seriously injured this time.

Lin Jarvis, Lorenzo's boss at Yamaha, said "It was an absurd action from Bautista.
"He came from so far behind and was hot into the corner. He had nowhere to go.
"It destroyed Jorge's race and destroyed the race for everyone. I cannot understand what was in his head."

"I cannot understand what was in his head" Lin that's because you have never raced so will never understand. You sometimes do things that are not rational or make a mistake. 5hit happens !
