Another good ride from Cal. Lap times indicate he would have been running with Dovi and Ben if not for the incident, but 5th is still a good result considering. He could very easily have been taken out along with JL and suffered more damage to the ankle.

At least all this overtaking he's having to do will stand him in good stead for future battles nearer the front.

Battles near the front? You don't get battles near the front, you usually have to be good at time trials!

Great job Cal, yet again!

Cracked up at Cal with matt roberts on the grid, did he really rob his passport? Gotta say I wasn't sure about mr crutchlow to begin with but I actually think he has what it takes to be successful in motogp, good luck next week!

Cal was badmouthing Bautista pretty harshly on MotoGP official stream, saying that "some ****head decides to be ramping up the gears while everybody else were already braking", and the day before calling Barbera an idiot. The next time Cal f0cks up, he has set himself up for some major verbal bashing, thats fo sho.

Interesting... The race and lap times I was watching (very closely) said that except for the last 2 or 3 laps dovizioso and spies were consistently pulling away from Crutchlow. The time gap was growing not getting smaller. He would have needed many more laps to catch them.

Cal's pace is good, but he lacks overtaking skills, that's his one fault, with the superior speed he had he should have passed the ducs quicker, that's where dovi is better, cal needs to work on that

@markg, Cal was around 4 seconds behind Spies after the first lap due to the incident. He finished around 7 seconds behind him after losing the front and losing a good few seconds there. He lost time being stuck behing Barbara/Rossi/Hayden for a few laps and pulled away after he got by them. Would Cal have been fighting with Ben and Dovi for the podium? You bet he would! Bautista robbed us viewers of what could have been an awesome race. But thats racing so hey ho.

Dovi beating Spies again must have hurt. I have no doubt that Cal may have very well beat him for the 6th time again had he not have been tangled up with the incident.
