Ducati should be looking at Cal in case Vale leaves, which he probably will. The Tech 3 bikes are better than the Ducatis and I think if Nicky was on one, he would be doing just as good as Cal so what do they think they will gain by replacing Nicky.

Come on Nicky #69!

You are currently up on your team mate 4-3 so here's hoping you can make it 5-3 this weekend.

If Rossi does go back to Yamaha and do well, then its clear that Nicky can too as he's beating Rossi head to head right now.

It would be a shame if Nicky is not offered a ride next year in MotoGP. He rides his ass off with what he has and he expects himself to bring in good results day in and day out regardless of whether he has the best stuff. The fact that he still enjoys riding and still wants to race in this class is a testament to his perseverance and his attitude for the sport.

Keep it up Nicky.

Sometimes hard work and loyalty isn't enough for a job. Honda ditched Nick for a guy that simply performed equal to him in most cases on the Honda. Ducati hired Nick because Ducati NA pressured Italy to place a "team player" on the bike. Although Nick never came to terms with the 800 he never gave up and never talked the bike or team down. He looked for a way to make the bike work for him. Vale has continuously talked down the bike and he thinks the engineers have run out of ideas, but Nick keeps saying they are inching their way forward. Team player. I would be a bit sad to see Nick get booted from the Factory team, BUT his time in GP means he won't get another Factory seat at his age. If Nick is offered the Corse team like the rumors state, it would make since that he and Checa run the Panigale and he shoot for a WSBK title or two before he comes back to the US to finish his career with a grand slam win on the mile dirt track.

Nicky is the only guy to beat the celebrated #1 team mates at Ducati riding cast offs, with the B team and playing 2nd fiddle to the demands of the other rider. he deserves a tremendous amount of credit for grinding out the results he has under the circumstances, especially considering the list of riders that completely failed to perform on a Duc.
