Yep, a fantastic rider. But please grow up with the
stupid comment - he's not hanging around so we'll
never know how his MotoGP career fared out.

king kenny raced for 6 seasons.Rainey for 6.Lawson for 10.revving kevin for 7 1/2 years.Stoner for 7,so what's the problem.Colin Deadwards for 10,an guys that can't win usually stay around in the paddock for ever an ever, like Ron Haslam,Carlos Checa an Randy Mamola. Also Anthony West an Nicky Hayden.

As a Stoner fan and a follower of GP for 51 yrs, yes stoner is a great rider but there was only one Hailwood the greatest rider of all time nobody else even close, his mastery on a bike (any bike)will never be matched.

I think it's unfair comparing modern riders to the legends... Times are different, the bikes are different... The guys race a lot more than they did back in the day. I, unfortunately never got to see guys like Hailwood, Lawson, Shwantz and the like race, but I DID get to see Mick Doohan... That was a great start to me watching bike racing...

I think Casey shows the great record holders an amazing amount of respect, something I feel certain other riders have failed to do. It's very big of him to leave because he's not enjoying it anymore, but I will feel there's something missing when he leaves... Good luck mate.

Hailwood will always be the greatest. Even Ago admitted his bike had to be perfect for him to ride, and then he could beat any one, where as Hailwood could jump on anything and ride it and win. A bit like mr stoner.

who cares?
casey stoner is one of the worst things that has happened to moto gp in the last twenty years.
he is about the same level of damage as grand prixs throwing out m schumacker.
same would happen if m webber was gp champion.
they must be the most boring pair of aussies, ever,i have seen more character, more charisma round a run over hedgehog.
a word of warning to stoner,as i dont actualy hate the bloke,do not be tempted to ride or drive stuff in the same manner as you have, yer guardian fairy is old and tired.
ride inside your limits or you will get terribly hurt in an accident within 3 years.

@tedleaf - I don't watch bike racing for the personalities - I watch it for the bike racing.

If you are watching it for the personalities then I humbly suggest you are watching the wrong sport mate!

Maybe something like pro-celebrity golf would fit your bill?

that maybe, but without people who can string two words together and actualy engage with fans, motogp will die due to lack of interest,i wonder why figures went up after vali entered motogp, because he was/is interesting on camera.
camera.the world has moved on from the 1950's,just being good is not enough,if you want to keep watching motogp you have to change to bring in money or except low budget racing,i.e superbike, the manufactures can afford that, but without outside money, forget motogp, sponsors NEED interesting riders, not just another boring twerp who can ride a bike quick, theirs loads of folk in the world who could ride stoners honda a second a lap faster than stoner, they just never try or as in most things they never get a chance to try,so you are never watching the "best"realy, just someone who got the an aside, why do you think stoner so good ? would you buy a bike engine that you knew had been in stoners bike, not me,if they bought in sensible engine rules he would never

be champ,he wolud not finish a season.motogp needs new ideas and new people.
people.the one good idea i have heard of but i forgot who it was is to bring in brand new engine scheme for real world and racing engines, bikes and engines are based round a single piston block,250 cc or 200cc may work better, multicylinder engines are just blocks bolted together to give 2/3/4/5 engines cheaply but based on what engines are sold to public.
public.if you realy want to see the best then motogp would have to be open properly
properly,if someone wanted to run a 500 two stroke against 4 bangers then let them.
them.motorsports survive on outside money, folk dont pay twice to be bored.motogp is turning into a dull parade with a bit of racing sometimes,it will change or die out again.
