MotoGP » Set-up tweaks fail to pay dividends for Spies

'This morning was a bit frustrating, we went out to try a couple of things that didn't work, the bike wasn't that bad we just made it a bit too slow' - Ben Spies

Over 100 points behind his teammate after 6 races, luckily bautista helped him reduce the deficit last race.

A competitive bike being wasted is bad for the sport, its the reason why the championship is only a 2 horse race.

cant believe there are so many disagrees with the above comments!! face it american fanboys, Spies is done...he has caved into pressure and is gonna be back in WSBK next season. It should be fair that Dovi or Cal get the ride next year for their performances are head and shoulder/ mountains clear of Spies

the race hasn't started yet!!
free practice means trying new things and finding sett up.
remember stoner last week was 10nth and 7nth in a couple of practices last week playing around with set ups . tires and new chassis then came out and destroyed poll and won the race.
all on the back of crash fans saying he was finished.
at least let the race be ran before judging.

Looks like the Ben bashers are out in force lol....

Hate to burst your bubble boys, but Bens gona resign with Yammaha, fact, not rummer! Tec 3 has offerd Cal a contract so your boy Cal, with Bradley will most likely make up the tec 3 team... oh' an disagree all you want - I know its hard to except the truth !

I wish Ben the most. Though I think "Lean Two" maybe off course. Ben's at the bottom of the list!

At this stage Ben will have to work with little or no paycheck!

sponsirship endorsements and yamaha U.S. Dozi and Cal have him beat by a margin.

Yamaha U.S. and motogp may prop it up!

re: "Yamaha must be insane to want to keep a top 10 rider even for the sake of a certain market."

doesn't seem to be a problem for dani @ repsol or a problem for rossi @ ducati...? just sayin'.

"Ben's at the bottom of the list!"

Lin Jarvis announced recently that Spies was actually top of the list. In a recent meeting with Cal Crutchlow he made it quite clear that the No.1 priority for Yamaha was to re-sign Spies.
