"I had planned to go for my 'win or bin' effort in the last corner, not that one!" - Casey Stoner.

At the risk of ridicule, my 2 cents is that I don't think Casey is a moaner at all. Aussie's in general tend to be pragmatic and "say it the way it is". Casey will never run for politics after he retires, unlike some others in the field, but frankly I prefer to hear his honest and real opinions rather than fluffy BS.

this is the reason why the spectators don't love stoner. he keeps on bashing everybody, not to mention punching de puniet and his locking horns with abraham. so now you stoner fans, do you think your hero loves you as well? hahahahaha. your hero doesn't care about you.

Good thing stoner is retiring, otherwise he would be pelted by bratwurst next year by the Marshals (you know, those people that don't get paid and do it for the love of the sport). There was nothing wrong with the bike? The on-board camera showed the clutch lever pretty much ripped off.

How to win friends and influence people. Lorenzo read it years ago. Lend it to Stoner eh please Jorge?

yeah true.. no doubt.. but the bike was fine and the best part of motogp is watch the fools who nearly kill themselves on these things each weekend get back up after falling at ridiculous speeds and having another go.. they could have and they didnt..

to be fair, to stoners fans though, the marshalls tended to throw themselves at rossi all last year to get his sorry **** back on track, even if he was just trying to salvage 16th after falling of from 7th.

i think all of those guys are ego maniacal idiots, but most fans hate stoner, why? thats just coz we felt he was just a lesser rider who only beat rossi coz of a better bike.. but in hindsight we now know it was a better rider on a lesser bike, so now we hate him coz it just seems so easy. easy coz he is the someone who makes motogps star and all time favourite fall from GOAT to also ran.

Nah, most people don't like Stoner because he does absolutely NOTHING for the sport. He is a brilliant rider, but that is all. Nothing else. That is not enough to be good for the sport or win the fan's favour. Genius rider, miserable git. That is why.

I saw on the on-board crash video that his clutch lever was totalled by the crash. Either the lever has a 120-degree hinge or he clearly lied about his bike being "totally OK". But I guess there's something to be sour about every time things don't go his way.

Apart from that, the moral of the day is that what goes around comes around and a moment comes for everybody when his ambition outweighs his talent.

Haven't the marshals done enough for Casey this weekend, parked his bike when it cut out in qualy, picked it up in warm up, picked it up in race, 3 times given him a lift back to pits on scooter!

I'm a huge Stoner fan but I am not a fan of what I just read. He criticized the marshalls and the track, and disrespected Dani. Even if everything he said is true, you simply don't say it. Very poor. Today, Dani was good and Casey stuffed up. If you're going to call it as it is, say that.

I really like him as a person and a racer, but he needs to straighten his attitude out.
