Spies needs to start consistently beating all the satellite bikes, whether Yamaha or Honda, or otherwise, even though he seems likely to be allowed to keep his factory Yamaha seat, his comments about riders' passports being the deciding factor will come back to haunt him big time. Unless he turns his season around from here on, it will be very obvious that if it he retains his place in the factory squad it is only because of his promotional value for sales in the US market.

Poor Dovi doesn't have a fan club. I think is because he's threatening to take Rossi's seat at yamaha next year.

He's a hard racer and deserves that seat.

Dovi did nothing with a factory Honda so what makes people think he would do anything with a factory Yamaha? Cal would be my choice. Looking pretty impresive in his second year!

@BA. Dovi did nothing on a Honda. 3rd in the world championship seems quite a lot to me. Hes also much more consistent than Crutchlow and faster at certain tracks. I know which of the two I would have in my team.

@tomcol, He only got third in the championship last year because of Pedrosa's injuries. Just like today he only got a podium because of Stoner's crash. He is very consistent and a great rider I just don't see him as rider that would be fighting for wins every week if he had a factory bike. Consistency only gets you so far, at some point you have to start winning.

B.A Spies only won at Assen due to other riders misfortunes whats your point

Spies would have been 2 places further back if Stoner did not crash and Cal run of the track
