how can people be so harsh on spies? the guy ent sh!t he is a great rider just in the wrong team as for him going back to sbk he belongs in gp he might not be getting the results in races but he goes weel in practise and qualifying and has the form to be a race/podium contender everyweek he seems to be the new bashing boy of motogp people need to give him a break! he probably has the hardest job in the paddock being lorenzo's team mate. lorenzo even makes the likes of stoner, pedrosa and back in 2010 rossi look sh!t on his day me and lets face it when you have probably the best rider in the world as your team mate you ent gonna shine at the end of the day.
the dream suzuki back in gp team america spies and hayden!!!!

How many of the failed acctually picked up race podiums and wins and front rows? Yeah, I'll wait. He has shown he can. He, like EVERY other rider has/will, is going through a bad patch... And I can see now, by the end of the year, when he's won a race or two, taken a few podiums, how you will be there, saying how great you JUST KNEW he was...

The thing with Spies is that he has shown glimpses (he is no alien) that he can cut it in Moto GP yet he hasn't done so this year. Yamaha won't be inclined to get rid based on a bad spell, they'll do it if he can't make the transition to the 1000s (even if it takes another year) because American market or not, he'll end up as liability for the team if he & his crew don't find solutions, and he'll be sacked.
Personally I think the writing is on the wall, riders generally don't come back from this kind of form in this class.

If Cal goes to Ducati, he's finished as a contender if in fact he ever was. Spies might not be adapt at engineering feed back to his team. More likely than deficit at the engineering level. A couple of years ago there was a film of Ben's bike (pedal) team and Ben had to have another guy fix a problem on his bicycle! Clearly he is losing practice time due to set-up problem and he admitted they had to get the bike set more quickly. It isn't as bad a Toni Ellis and his battles with his team last year but this must be at the center of his failings and it sapped his confidence.

Agree with you on CC. He's no Stoner. He rides hard but he's going to flounder on the Duc where with Tech 3 at least he has a shot at a podium. I hope Tech 3 signs Hayden so they swap places. At least Hayden will have a shot to place instead of being on the worst Manufacturing team in MotoGP outside of CRT -- and I don't blame CRT. They are what they are -- slow.

Bridge/Rock needs to get their act together. They threw Val and Ben under the bus after they chunked their tyres. If you read what the guy said from Bridgestone and not try to make it Ben or Val's riding style as the and other have alluded to. It is plain to see that they, as in Bridgestone did not guess right on the temps and other factors in what tyres they brought.

Sure Ben needs to adapt to the tyres. But Bridgestone needs to bring better tyres also.

But hey if it is reason enough to put it all on Mr. Spies head then by all means have at it.

I cant believe how many ignorant people think Spies belongs in SBK???
He is easily one of the best riders in the world and the only one to win a dry motogp race (bar CS DP VR JL - the aliens) since Bayliss in 2006!!!
Thank god Yamaha think so too - contract renewal for Spies will be announced in the next 4 weeks - rightly so
