'Having found something that worked on Sunday we were then unfortunately compromised by a lack of side grip so were unable to ride to our full potential' - Ben Spies

Well Bridgestone just announced they will provide special tyres for Mugello, so maybe Spies and Rossi won't have chunks flying off this round. I'm wondering whether the extra 15-20kg these riders weigh plus their riding style is just enough to over-stress the new 'safety' tyres.

Spies has shown he still has speed at the start of the race, leading Silverstone and running 3rd at Sachsenring until his tyres went off.

And Spies luck continues..

With about 10 minutes left in FP1, mid-corner, the airbag in his leathers pops causing him to dump the bike, and for some unknown reason, Houseworth doesn't have his 2nd bike in a usable state. His garage really needs to get their **** together. This is ridiculous.
