'It's the Italian Grand Prix, so everyone, including myself, must make an extra effort to do well in our home race' - Valentino Rossi

Once Casey is retired and off the Honda payroll he will be free to test the GP13's head-to-head with Rossi. That would answer the question who is the fastest. They could compare notes and give their suggestions to next year's Ducati Chief Engineer. But I think there is less likelyhood of that than a Beatles re-union.

@ dacron

With reference to timeline, Rossi asked for that frame (along with other changes) a long time ago. He didn't receive it until the GP12 after much reluctance from the factory. With regards to change, something did happen in fact! The front end is more trustworthy (probably 80% of the time....hence Rossi's apprehension to push 100%), and the bike is no longer crash prone. That is HUGE!

@ Reality

Rossi was not handed a winning bike. Stoner was handed a WINNING bike (in 2011). Rossi was gifted with a bike that ONLY ONE PERSON could ride - with merit - but with a fair share of disasters.

@ Realist Dont get bored with this guys.. They are right when they talck about the talent of Stoner to ride the Ducati the way it was.. But we know that he was just 1 time World Champion with the Ducati because him 2007 was the best bike.. Then one so called GOAT With one bike that suit him that foolow is suggestions , JB and created by Forusawa beat Stoner fair and square 2008, 2009 and the same bike him 2010.. This only tell me 2 things, Stoner had talent and one style that go nice with Ducati, Rossi had Talent and diferent Style, but it seams that the style that win more is esay to wach... When Rossi finaly get what he whant he with the style he had will be World Champion again with Ducati this time.. sadly Stoner go home because but what all Rossi fans whanted was to wasch Rossi making like him 2008 again.. I will respect Stoner like all guys that where WC but will not change my feelings about the SUN of Motogo GO VALE

@ The bikes fine

Thanks for telling me that, I didn't know it was fine. I'm just gonna email the Ducati MotoGP riders and let them know so you can expect to see them all on the front row Sunday.

@ Found out and owned

Great, you got it sussed, I guess that is why he is the greatest ever with 2 WC's. When he finished last place in Germany, that was real winning style, you're the man.

@ Catch up

No idea, remind who you presume I think is 'the greatest bike developer of all time', whatever one of those is?

How do you know what Rossi has asked Ducati for? Are you a member of the Ducati race team?

As all 3 of you are obviously the same person, female I presume, please dont bother me with your Stoner-Love fuelled hatred of Rossi, your pathetic comment have no factual content, only your own un-educated, biased, hating opinions......YAAAAAAAAAWm

Any real fans have anything interesting to say here???

@Realist. Stoner had the same bike as Hayden. Stoner won races. Hayden finished 6th.
Rossi has same bike as Hayden. Hayden still finishes 6th. Rossi finishes 10th. The bike is not the problem.

@ Reality

Would you mind calling Dorna and tell them they have the German GP results the wrong way round, they are under the impression that Rossi finished 6th and Hayden finished 10th. Good job you noticed, well done.

@ Reality

You can't pick a stat from a race or two and try to pass that off as business as usual. What about the days that Hayden finishes 10th and Rossi finishes 6th? Or the races where Rossi finishes 5th and Hayden finishes 8th. Or rather, the day that Rossi finished 2nd and Hayden finished....where? 10th? 10th???? It flip flops between them, so it really is immaterial. If Hayden is so good, how come HE hasn't won a race on the GP? You can't slice the pie one way without preparing for it to be sliced the other way.

@ Vilas

They make it so easy! If you make comments based on a personal dislike for someone, they can never hold water.

@ Realist

Roughly how many genuine race fans do you think actually contribute rational comments on this forum?
