Dani Pedrosa creates a small upset by taking pole position for the 2012 Italian Grand Prix, ahead of pre-session favourite Jorge Lorenzo and revelation Hector Barbera.

Great ride by Dani, I hope he's the champion this year.

Before you uneducated people start bashing Rossi and saying he got "thrashed" if you looked at the last laps, Hayden & Barbera were following quicker riders and Rossi in the back of the shot got held up by a CRT and another rider.

Also if you look at the average lap times Rossi was consistently quicker than Hayden & Barbera, he was also quicker than both the satellite Honda's on harder tires and also Stoner. His race pace looks better than all those riders if you go onto the MotoGP website you'll see that. You get points on race day and I still bet he'll be top Ducati.

@ Liam

barbera, hayden managed fast laps on his own

rossi may have got stuck on the last lap but he was 7 tenths from bradl in 8th...he could have still managed 9th but thats his "extra effort".....

@lemmy I'm entitled to agree with you!

We all know that the other two Ducati's will go back they're consistently in the low-mid 1.49's while Rossi was consistently in the low 1.49 and high 1.48. He'll still beat the both tomorrow and maybe give Casey a run as he was setting similar times to Rossi.

These haters just come on here for one thing to bash Rossi and if he does well they're nowhere to be seen!

Also these people that say he's a fraud have no idea how to ride a bike or have no idea about the sport and I have no time for the uneducated people that have probably only been watching for a couple of years!

Rossi really did a good job of impressing his new masters (AUDI) ,ha ha ha ,if financial terms are not yet agreed then they now have the upper hand in the bargaining position, also Rossi now has nowhere else to go, and is probably worried about next years team mate ,CRUTCHLOW,
