Dani Pedrosa creates a small upset by taking pole position for the 2012 Italian Grand Prix, ahead of pre-session favourite Jorge Lorenzo and revelation Hector Barbera.

Do we really have to do this every week? Can't we just wait until afer the race where it counts before all this point scoring? In F1 qualifying matters a great deal. In Moto GP, not that much!

What happened with Jorge's aborted fast last lap, still will surly win, great save by Dovi similar to the one Colin Edwards had, also a mention to Barbera, should quieten those getting a tow gripers, where on earth was Rossi.

Stoner after qualifying: "The stars in the sky were aligned in the wrong pattern, the earth was in the wrong phase of its revolution around the sun..... blah... blah.... blah.... so that is why I was fifth"

@good evening
Nicky is one second ahead of his TEAM MATE the great Valentino Rossi, the 20 million dollar man and 9 time champ. In the real world it is Rossi who should be dropped. My local Ducati Ducati dealer here in California can't give away the Rossi shirts and hats!

When is Hayden not quicker then Rossi in QFP,
just like last week, and what did they earn him,
4 positions behind Rossi come checkerd flag.

im not having a dig at Nicky becuase i like the bloke, but QF fast and not doing it during the race is pointless.

I'm dissapointed. I really was expecting a bit more than that, home track 'n all.

Whatever Vales race pace, Barbera has given him a hard time in races this year, often trading places back and forth, in the mid field.

I really hope Vale raises his game tomorrow, he still doesn't look too committed on that bike...

Once again the hateful jealous drama queens are out in force. I think some people are identifying themselves too much with the riders. Anyways, great job Pedrosa, he's coming on and has been the fastet to the first corner from virtually any qualifying position so on pole he should get the early lead and if his tires hold up can win the race.

It would be great to see Pedrosa win again to really stir up the championship. Good recovery from Cal fingers crossed for him.
Rossi to WSBK & Hayden to stay put....if there was any justice. Barbera must have snuck into the factory garage & stolen Rossi's bottle of extra special effort!
