The tension was palpable at the post Q press con. You could tell Jorge was out to make a statement this weekend. His race pace is unbelievable! Odd to see Dani suddenly going so well and Casey Struggling too.

Whatever issue he experienced in that last lap, better have it in practice than in the race. Let's hope everything works as it should tomorrow afternoon.

Lorenzo's pace is unmatched by any of his rivals at Mugello. This afternoon, he was the only rider to get in the 47s on the hard rear.

The thing with Pedrosa, though, is that he often manages to improve his bike a bit during warm up practice, so maybe he'll up his pace for the race and challenge Lorenzo. What I don't see happening is Pedrosa disappearing in the distance, and if they to fight it one to one on the last lap, Lorenzo is the more likely winner.

And let's not forget Stoner: if he fixes his setup issues before the race, he'll be a contender too.

My podium prediction: 1st-Lorenzo, 2nd-Pedrosa, 3rd-Dovizioso
