MotoGP » Lorenzo's pace too high for 'worried' Pedrosa

"When I started to drop into the 1m 47s, my tyre began to spin a lot in the rear and I got some chatter so I was worried for the tyre" - Dani Pedrosa.

For anyone who still complain about Dani not putting up a good show against Lorenzo needs a reality check. It's not Dani-is-inefficient always, pricks. It's Honda and its chatter issue. I think Dani tried everything possible to catch Lorenzo today. Lorenzo was too good and his bike too sorted out. The reason Stoner was hopping behind madly alone proves that this not the finest hour for Repsol riders. Don't blame Dani always. The guy is a talent. That's why he's racing with Honda for past 6 years and will continue for 2 more!!

I am not a fan of Stoner, and even consider him a tad overrated (he is a fantastic racer, but not the greatest ever, far from it - he has many chinks up his armour, in my view) but when he retires, in 2013, Lorenzo's task will be even easier: if you think this year race have been boring, just wait for next year!!!

bionika, you raised the mother-of-all-issues concerning MotoGP: boredom. the "thous" improved things a little, although not at the front. At least so far we've been treated with exciting battles in the groups following the leader but not many duels for the win.

I think they better learn fast from Ecclestone's extremely successful recipe (F1 is full of drama nowadays) and use the parts of it useable on bikes, namely a control-ECU.

All Dani haters are unbelievably unreasonable. Dani is the only one who got close to Lorenzo's pace but not consistent enough but still he made the fastest lap. Only Dani and Casey knows how hard or easy the Honda handles, none of us will ever know the truth. But looking at just the results, he did a great job. Lorenzo's won the race on FP2 when he made a 10+ laps on high 1.47 within 2/10 of a second difference throughout that long sting, and nobody matched that even the almighty Stoner. Only Dani got close with 5 laps on 1.47. So I think he did his best so give credit when someone deserve it, and if you don't want to give credit then just shut the f*ck up.

Dani actually was the one who set the fastest lap of the race (new circuit record). If he hadnt made the mistake in the first corner and then get stuck behind Dovi, the gap would have probably been smaller. But I think Jorge was untouchable. I second you here. Give credit where credit is due.

I would love to see Danny win the championship this year!! Whatever problems Honda are having, Danny is showing how to get over them, but dear oh dear, what is Casey doing?? Casey says he can just change his riding style to suit, but clearly he can't and needs his bike to be just so - much like all the others he slates when they have problems!!

Casey lost it when he had his kid, he's already elsewhere in this championship. His wife would have been the driving force behind his retirement. They all look supporting but when the sh!t stay to go wrong they cave and run the other way. I can just imagine "Casey, why do you have to racing, you've already won 2 championships, look what happened to Simoncelli"

I think really everyone will regret they day Stoner retired, well all the posters on this site will

1) Because you will lose someone to hate, and you all seem to need that

2) Watching Lorenzo finish 15secs infront in a majority of races will be ultra boring, Mugello is a taste of what is to come.

3) Watching Lorenzo win and his after race antics are just crap, they are not original and when he does it its worse then Rossi.

4) Lorenzo doesnt have the ability to make the race show happen, Like Stoner he will bolt into the distance and wont play around like Rossi used to with his grandparents Sete and Biaggi
