MotoGP » Lorenzo's pace too high for 'worried' Pedrosa

"When I started to drop into the 1m 47s, my tyre began to spin a lot in the rear and I got some chatter so I was worried for the tyre" - Dani Pedrosa.

honda's hope of Dani taking points away from jorge is close to zero...

honda's hope of championship by Dani is also close to zero....

90% of the time i don't expect him to win back the position that he lost...

Exciting MotoGP races?- Compare with the smaller classes and their edge-of-your-seat action!
Suggest making things more difficult for the Aliens-
Aliens get 1 Free Practice, satellites get 2 FPs, CRTS get 3, all bikes sealed after qualifying (ie no further changes before the race).
Then see the best chaos ever!
Or- scrap the big class- it's not really a show.

Considering he is only 19 points off the front, I can't fathom why people are cutting Pedrosa down. The lil guy has been consistent throughout his entire career. THAT is why he continues to get re-signed. He earns it! Honda can bet on Dani to put their bike on the podium nearly every race.

Dannys not got enough to beat Jorge or Casey over a season, he'll probably have his **** handed to him by Marquez next year too..
He's a great time trialist but not ruthless enough to get race wins..
It would great if Danny could win the championship but I just can't see it happening.
I'm no expert, just my opinion.

@Barely Balmy - That might add some random element into which alien or satellite rider ends up on the podium as the result of hitting on a better set up, partly guessing from the previous year's data, but it wouldn't improve the racing. You'd still have people clearing off into the distance, probably more so, because either their style or their bikes suit the circuit and they've hit a good setting for the prevailing conditions. If they are in parc ferme after FP, would you force them to use dry settings and slicks in the wet and vice versa?

Good point about tyres & weather. The prob with full factory bikes is the gap between the bikes. I prefer to see the bikes more even and the riders being racers, not processionists. The scraps between T3, Gresini, LCR and various ducatis are great. The drag -races at the very topare less so. Sure, CS pulls some amazing stuff, JL so measured & DP almost like a robot but if they were the only riders on the track- would it be exciting or entertaining? Take them out of the picture- would the remainder be more or less exciting or entertaining?. It would be more fun, not least because the "possible podium red-mists" would
M1M- Tx for the intelligent comment.
