MotoGP » Lorenzo 'hammers' home Mugello MotoGP win

“Only 'hammering' every lap and going faster and faster from 1m 48.1 then into the 47s could I open a bit to Pedrosa then little by little it got better and I could start to breathe” – Jorge Lorenzo.

Stoner this, Rossi that... I think Lorenzo is incredibly underrated on this site. He might lack 'legend' status to some, but he is racking up some mighty impressive stats in a year many thought Honda would walk. A 19 point advantage and an extra 25 points potentially dashed at Assen, yet all anyone can witter about on an article about Lorenzo's win is Stoner, Rossi and how boring MotoGP is (the latter I kind of agree with...)

Even so, credit where credit is due, Lorenzo is doing a fine job

Comment removed?

Seriously how is it inappropriate to state that Ben Spies is not making use of the potential of that bike? I didn't swear or use obscene language.

As a stoner fan to JLO and his fans Congrats a great ride on a great bike.
Now where are all the knockers from 2010 when Yam made JLO their No 1 rider I would say big egg on face, and I know we are only half way through this season but I will make a predection for next season now,if JLO starts the season fit I will say 90% to 95% he will break the record for most GP wins in a seasonand he will do it without any special advantages being given to him he dosent need them,I think he will win the title for as long as he stays with Yam its the best bike I have seen in a long long time. Also great ride by Pedro and Dovi.

Right OK, he likes Mugello, so he is going to do well there. But he was on it from FP1 and this result is no suprise. He has many good people behind him making sure that he performs to his best at each race and can accept his race when not at this best.
When Rossi left Yamaha and took the credit for the bikes development in the many eyes of the people who know nothing and so wrote on this site. Jorge's performances in the last three years have been outstanding, we are seeing the rise of the NGOAT
