@Tetley Cal has shown time and again this year that while he can pass riders who are noticeably slower than he, but has trouble with anybody who's capable of doing similar lap times.

And whoever you are it's always relatively easy to stay with a faster rider once they are past you. It's certainly easier than staying ahead of them.

Mr Could've should've but Didn't.

OMG, he did well to track down Nicky, what a load of BS, everyone knows what happen to Nicky and it had nothing to do with Mr Potential

Go back to WSBK or even better BSB you can't cut it in Motogp.

Yeah I know, this is a pommy site so it will either get deleted or I'll get fanged by the Pommy brigade

Either way, they are the facts as I see it, nothing yet from the great pretender.

@Pomshell if someone who is 5th in MotoGP shouldn't be in MotoGP then what the hell are the rest doing? By that logic we'd have a 4 bike race... stop winding people up for the sake of it. Just makes these discussions boring.

@Pomshell = WTF, you are so wrong

OK, he may not have got up to 3rd yet but lets not read too much into that.hes days are in development and shows heart, which is the sign of a champion in the making.

I think if he gets a factory ride that by 2014 he will be at the pointy end without a doubt

He has a lot to learn so I dont expect anything out of him this year but wait and see for next year and then some.

Plus for a POM hes one of the best characters we have, love his style and his words. THEY BRING LIFE INTO MOTOGP, remember BARRY

Cal needs to get in touch with a speedway rider or two to help him improve his starts, he's giving far too much away. Just look how close he was to Dovi at Mugello after such a ropey start.

1. cal has a broken/ dislocated ankle...and is still capable of riding a bike at over 200mph (on a broken/ dislocated ankle. possible also the reason that he is more tentative than most on lap1. lets face it 6th is better than crashing out being a hero and not riding the rest of the season.

2. last to sixth / sixth to sixth the one thing your all missing is the one advantage cal had that day that nobody else did. HOME race = god like abilities. (look what it did for dovi and the goat.)

3. he had a poor start and ended up behind vale so for arguments sake, cal passed vale on lap 4 vale repasses cal on the straight every lap there after and they end up 20 sec's off the podium group.

4. cal doesnt know how to overtake? how did hayden end up behind him.... rossi got through because bradl shunted hayden wide, cal had to work his way past on the last corner...

pomshell = couch racer.
you ever been on the knife edge of success or failure at 45 degrees with your knee and elbow scratching the tar...... in excess of 100mph.... please enlighten me on how you acheieved this and thought it valid to label someone who has "a coulda woulda shoulda"..... (im south african so dont even call me a brit.)
