today was classic rossi: 10th, back to 12th, up to 5th. Well done Vale thanks for a 'great battle'! Keep chipping away and you be back on top eventually where you were born...

it was really nice to see him doing the most consistent lap times till the end (1:48:5's) right from 6th lap onwards.. even the top 3 rides lost it in the end making some 1:49's. gud to see some progress n that little extra effort..

Forza Vale

Its a shame Ducati cannot turn up to a circuit with a few different chassis for Vale to try, like Honda do for their works riders.

It may be to do with a funding thing or technical ability thing but to compete at the top level Ducati need to shift up a gear or 2 for the sake of the fans& to do this sooner rather than later.

He would have comfortably been on the podium if it wasnt for such a patheitc showing in qualifying. Maybe he should spend more time on the softs in practice.

Rossi once again proved his class today. Started behind everybody, gained so many positions, finished ahead of all Ducatis and even beat the "wunderkid" Stoner. He even allowed for much speculation and "what ifs" were he starting from, say the 2nd row.

What I'm wondering about is all those guys who don't seem to ever learn and proclaim to know the results of a race just by looking at the results of FP or qualifying.

@ Jack

It is a very fair point you make but at the same time his performances in the last half hour of quali are hurting his races at the moment.
If he could match Haydens qualifying performance and maintain his race day performance he may be a bit closer to the tech 3 yamahas at least.
Hope these updates help but Ducati are still a long way off being race winners

@SkinnyDave

Its good point.. But for us Rossi fans the most importante was to wach Rossi making all that places, proving that Old is my Grandfather.. Defenatly you guys are right the qualify was very poor and if he had qualify better he was for the podium.. But what is true is what he said he had problems with the sfot tyre on this track.. if that was not the case maybe he would had bet hayden time.. I can t take out the time that hayden was brave and good time what Rossi need him fact.. But Rossi is amyzing Hell race!! And Cal give him a lot of worck to riding very hard and close and still no mistake from Rossi riding like a CLOCK.. Is not old and he still had is talent.. like you say all hope for progress from Ducati bike
