If true, and I am pinching my salt here, then it's a interesting sign of how far some want to bend over backwards for Rossi still...

Not in any way denying his excellence in previous years, but even with Ducati's problems, he still isn't performing above and beyond to warrant having so many people scurrying around for him. Even in rubbish situations, riders will at least hint at what they can do, but save for a couple of good runs for Rossi, he has been mid-field at best.

And really, that Ducati may be a dog in some areas, but it can't be a lot worse (if at all) than an LCR Honda, Gresini Honda or a Pramac Ducati, the bikes he seems to be competing with.

A great rider who deserves a better bike, definitely. But one that has Dorna involved to ensure he gets promoted above, say, Dovizioso (who has worked really hard this year), doesn't seem right.

I dunno about this!! Better to wait until BRNO.. But for me Rossi will not leave Ducati, its one factory Team and only if Rossi feel really desapointed with the upgrades.. Malboro Yamaha could have the money but i thinck Yamaha would not supplie better parts to one semi oficial Team just like that and knowing that they have a special rider.. No Facotry Team likes to loss to one semi oficial iven if its Yamaha winning anyway

Don't know what to say really. If it's good for the sport then I'm all in. But I would still love for him to stay at Ducati and make it competitive. Staying with Ducati and making it competitive would benefit not only him but future Ducati riders as well. Oh well, like any business money talks I guess. Let's wait and see.

The difference is Boo if Rossi were on Dovi's bike he'd be battling for victories. I personally hope this story is true, the thought of another season seeing Rossi battle for 5th place finishes would be a waste of another season! If Ducati were going to get that bike on the same level as the Japanese bikes it would have happened by now.

That would be ultimate revenge for Rossi.Make Ducati without major sponsor for screwing you for last two years and make Lorenzo number 2 rider at the same time. Also if it happens Filippo Preziosi will be designing a new line of bicycles for Ducati.
