I have no doubt Ducati used Hayden as a mule this session to try out the new parts for Rossi, since hayden is usually near the top in practice.

Hey dude, Ducati doesnt have anything to test. They have develop the amount of "ZERO" parts this year. So your vomit about "beeing a mule" is just another show of how a winner can develop lots of envy. You are the proof of that.

If Dani beats Casey this year, then Casey's amazing performances since 2007 will be somewhat diminished. Why? The candle that burns twice as bright burns half as long.

He could have possibly been up there as the best ever, but if he doesn't win (retiring is NO excuse, he's still here), he won't be remembered in the same light as the multiple champions (and yes, that includes Rossi)

Ducati are over budget thats why development is small.
Even with Audi taking over it won't be till next financial year to see how much they are willing to invest in motogp.

Well we know Stoner has the talent and ability to win.
The question is does he still have the Desire to win.
I do not think the record books are that important to Stoner.

It's only FP1 so rather early to be jumping to conclusions. However, as Mugello is Ducati's test track, with a very long straight, it was not surprising that they did better there than elsewhere, or that they're not likely to do so well on a twisty short circuit like Laguna Seca, particularly as they've failed to bring the 'new engine' they were once talking about for this round. All they have is a few external updates instead. It's that failure to live up to promises which is likely to be the deciding factor for Rossi, even with Audi behind them. It does show how hard Stoner rode to make the bike competitive here though.
