Very unlucky weather situation for riders like Spies, Lorenzo and Stoner, who needed to improve their setup. I'm very surprised Stoner decided not to go out in the last ten minutes unlike the other riders, it doesn't seem the right attitude after all the complaining he's done so far this season. Anyway...

Lorenzo managed some very fast laps, but without Pedrosa on the track it's hard to judge if he's improved his setup or not, and also hard to judge the speed of the track in those conditions.

Well, qualifying will tell what's what.

Oh, BTW: Dennis Noyes just told that someone very close to Spies confirmed to him that Ben has signed to ride with BMW in WSBK. Apparently, BMW had given Ben next tuesday as deadline to make a decision, which may be the reason that prompted him to announce this weekend he'd be leaving Yamaha.

@King Kenny, agree with your Stoner assessment. Surely he's been there often enough to know how often and quickly the conditions can change. He's complaining that the bike isn't good enough, he should have taken the opportunity to do as many laps as possible.

They should have delayed it, pushed it back an hour so the could get in a full good pratice... the fog did'nt burn off until 10 mins left... stoner, pedro and most the riders just sat it out what a waste... Steve Rapp took full advantaged of an emty track lol...

Since neither rider went out it was probably a team decision. THere could be many reasons for it

Want to save tire allocation

Want to save miles on engines for later in the season

No useful data since the conditions will be very different for the late race

Repsol knows what they are doing and it shouldn't be an excuse to pick on a rider.
