MotoGP » Stoner: There was always a CRT in the way

“Every lap was spoiled which is very frustrating as I really feel we could have been on pole but we'll have to settle for where we are” – Casey Stoner.

I have said this at the start of the season and I am not saying it because I am a stoner fan ,but this is a tradgey waiting to happen I think all the proto riders should get together and demand that CRT have their own qual and the proto's have their's if not it will finish with someone getting seriously injured I hope and pray it will not happen but with the speed difference it is very dangerous.

Re the 08 Laguna incident.
I believe the rules say a rider mustn't gain a place after going off track. Considering that Rossi didn't gain a place, considering that he didn't go off track on purpose, why should he be penalised? He outbraked himself in the heat of battle, where's the problem?

If Casey had won the race there wouldn't be this arguement.

Dam some people are just plain stupid, I wonder if they even read the article, or just rattled off with some jibberish at first sight of the title. Casey at no point was whinging, he stated fact and recapped what happened through qualie. His last two flying laps were interfered with, even the commentators stated it. The bikes are 3 to 4 seconds slower a lap so trying to find space is very difficult. He isn't asked how do you think everyone else went, he is asked how did your session go? I think he summed up what happened really well. So my suggestion is watch the session, read the full article then make your comment, it just might make a little more sence.

the thing is casey was forever leaving big gaps between himself and crts in front.
he was still coming up on them before half a lap was done.
the difference between proto's and crt has never been so evident as at laguna!
crt were the only bikes out this mornibg foe nearly whole session , they looked and sounded so slow.
then spies came out and just the sound alone of his yam spoke volumes of the huge gap in performance.

The acceleration difference between Petrucci and Stoner was absurd. The CRT was so friggin slow into and out of the corner. Bringing those two closer is like restricting an R1 to the speed of a 125.

"So when Spies, Crutchlow, Lorenzo or anyone else says something its fine, but when Casey says it its moaning? "

i thinks its a bit like the boy who cried wolf, now and again CS might say smoething factual or which is consistent with other riders comments, but because these comments are often made amongst lots of other CS BS folk just discount it as moaning. it may be a fact that he got slowed down by the CRT's but a fact that does not really need to be commented on, its the same for everyone surely....

@makrus
Did you watch the session on the bbc when interviewed casey had a rant I'm sick of it, I'm sick of it
He's 2nd on the grid not a bad place to start
Its the same for all riders, pedro said he was upset but is happy to be on the front row
And what matters is the race
And as someone else said dorna should do like superbike and do superpole top 8 or so then this would not be a problem or better get rid of CRT or downgrade the prototypes
