“I decided to go with the soft option and be a little more careful with the tyre, keep a little more traction and not spin so much” – Casey Stoner.

@ Dave...It doesnt need to come from his mouth...just go back to the Valencia test when Rossi jumped on the Ducati...That said it all, or do you think Vale is not such a good rider as Casey ??

It will be a slow race next year without stoner

Should have been pole and a win

Let's hope stoner wins the remaining races. But Indy has never been a good track for him
Can only hope spies and Hayden get in the mix Pedro aswell

I think you've pegged him... Poor dear must have cried himself too sleep again, and probably won't come out of his room for 2 whole weeks. Boo hoo.

Great rides by both Stoner and Lorenzo. Dani close but no cigar. And another gutsy fight to the end by the Tech 3 team enemies! Herve must be a nervous wreck. Best of the Ducatis, not surprisingly, the guy that rides it the hardest...Go Nicky!

"Here is a guy who is not even racing at the front and he is not sure if he will go to the best team and be No2 rider....dont see much humility here."

Its one thing to see yourself as the best because of what you have achieved in the past, its another to see yourself as the best because there was always an excuse you didnt achieve in the past.

@ dave you are so full of sh!t....Casey has stated that he has been happy with everything he has acheived, in fact his only ambition was to be World MotoGP champion and then retire.
He changed his mind because he didnt want to leave Ducati stil struggling a bit so he stayed.
The Honda offer was opened to him and he thought what a fantastic offer it would be to race on the same bike and Respol colours as his idol.
Winning races is all that he has cared about, fame and money have never come into it.
Edwards loves the guy, Spies goes hunting and fishing with him, Jorge is a great friend....Casey leaves more than just his race skills when he retires...his humility is going to be sadly missed as well.

Thing you miss understood. Try reading again, this time sound out the words. Once you have done this, count to ten and then think before you post.

@ Catch Up.

Please excuse me while I leave the room and throw up.

There I'm back again.

His humility, you mean his humiliating behaviour towards everybody and everything. Especially the sport that gave him so much.

Humility (adjectival form: humble) is the quality of being modest and respectful.

Yeh...sounds like stoner, ask the German marshals, the Spanish marshals, the CRTs, Randy, Petrucci, Rossi, Ducati, Honda and they are just off the top of my head.
