"It is very difficult to keep the concentration and enough power, physically but especially mentally, when you can fight for a not very important position" – Valentino Rossi.

Let's be honest, no matter how much money, time and development is put into this current Ducati it is never going to be a world championship bike. There is only one rider (so far) who has been able to win consecutively on it and that's Stoner. The only way Ducati will be competitive is if they start over again, or get a radical change in riders who suit the bike. Rossi known for his smoothness is never going to suit the bike which is a shame and he doesn't have the time or maybe patience to wait for a good Ducati. I think Yamaha will move for Rossi mainly for the sponsorship and development, because Lorenzo is on form and is in prime age. However I still think Rossi could win a championship with Yamaha, he has natural talent that he will NEVER lose. Could Rossi make a private factory Yamaha team though?

Also to back Vilas up, Max and Sete were great riders, to say Rossi hadn't have any competition is taking away from them. Jorge is yet to beat Rossi head to head. People here tend to be either short memory owners or haven't watched MotoGP for more than 2 years... Find some old races with Rossi on a 500cc and then come here again and honestly tell me if the guy can't slide and ride the bike above the limit.

you guys saying Vale should retire,

you will be eating humble pie next year when he's back on his M1,

this guy just doesnt walk away from the sport, he still has the passion to win, unlike someone else.

I know why people want Rossi to stay at Ducati, they only want him to suffer BIGTIME!!

After 2 disaster years, its time to turn things around BIGTIME!

Its time for Rossi to step on the podium again!!

Audi can't do nothing for Ducati, See how long BMW struggled in wsbk because they had only car experience!

Bmw enterd wsbk in 2010 nothing 2011 nothing 2012 yes they are in for the win. but lets not forget its wsbk and Motogp realy is something else.

So it will take another extra 2 years. so 4 years befor audi can make a fist. if the japanese would stand still, but they are NOT. For ducati, they will never ever win i think. and if wsbk would be 1000cc Ducati would be NO WERE eighter.
No motogp victories and NO wsbk victories for ever.

Dont be the most stupid person on earth Rossi and dont ever ever sigh again in any sport with ducati!

Instead be smart and SIGN with Yamaha who will give you an exelent bike to ride on.!!
Dont be stupid eighter to sign with Honda because all credit wi

What happens when Vale gets a factory Yam next year and gets the same results as this year. The same results as Spies.

He never had trouble concentrating & riding away from not so great positions before. I don't think he'd beat Dovi & Cal currently. Even on an M1.

I'd prefer him to retire and not ruin my memory of him riding from the back of the pack, thru the field to the front. I remember those days.

Ducati's OK = Bike in best condition to win with Stoner's parameters as documented during his service there. They overwrite Capirossi's parameters since Stoner win more races and too often during 2007-2008.

Rossi's OK = Bike in the best condition to win like the Yamaha parameters.

Both didn't talk the same language since Ducati didn't know how the best Yamaha parameters were. While Rossi think the winning condition all applied the same like he had in the past since he was wrong about Stoner winning title because he think Electronics was the main factor.

As long as Rossi didn't adapt and convert to Ducati's ethics, he will never get it work. Expecting Ducati become Yamaha because of him alone will never happened. Cost too much to change every aspect of the factory.

@tom...yo know motogp is a series improving event! What have you recalled by then already years by. Like everyone was saying...others stepped-up their level of competition and ducati was not...or even worse. By the time stoner won with the bike i wasnt repeated already...and worst, suffered a series of crash....
