Maybe he should stay with Tech3...they seem to give him a pretty good race package each race. I am an american but my hats off to Dovi, for some excellent racing............

Who writes these Crash headlines? He didn't say he "felt pity" for Spies, he said it was a pity they didn't get to duke it out at the end of the race (which it was, that would have been fun to watch).

re: "Marking his eighth top five finish in ten races, Dovizioso felt pity for his Yamaha counterpart following his latest set-back."

yup, but how attractive is the #2 seat to you and crutchlow now...? repeat, beware what you wish for.

@ shamarone "yup, but how attractive is the #2 seat to you and crutchlow now...? repeat, beware what you wish for."

That warning could equally apply (in fact more so) to #46? Dovi or cal would give their left nut for the chance on that bike knowing it's their best chance and they've little to lose and won't be expected to run Lorenzo to the wire. But if VR gets that seat he HAS to shine to justify all the hype, the salary, the GOAT rep etc.

I don't know (or overly mind) who replaces Ben at Yam. I just hope it makes it interesting on track and we get some good racing!

with Spies gone Dovi is the only rider deserving of the factory yamaha seat other than lord rossi and if he umps ship back to yamaha i will lose even more respect for him... if he doesnt stick it out it ust proves once again that he thought hayden and stoner were slacking off at ducati and thought he could win right away and now that he can his lord of development title is gone... at this stage its more risky for him to go back to yamaha and risk getting his ass handed to him by Jlo... at least now he has the ducati excuse and when he finally wins he will be hailed as a god... go back to yamaha and get beat and say goodbye to the living legend status... he will always be one of he greats but that wouldnt be the way to go out
