Dylan based on this Crash article on Furusawa it appears he's not interested in working with Ducati due to his relationship with Yamaha eventhough he's retired. While I agree most would love to see Rossi stay with Ducati and make it a Championship winning bike and team unfortunately that window seems to be closing as Ducati isn't improving the bike quick enough to catch their competitors.

Ducati, presiozi and del torchio could of saved face if they had just listened to rossi in the first place. When someone like furasawa describes rossi as a genius it makes you wonder why ducati would pay him all those dollars and not listen. Going to laguna seca and offering rossi mega bucks just proves they know nothing about valentino and what makes him tick.
There was no need to ask furasawa, they had rossi. Muppets.

Amigo Preziosi knows that the failure at Ducati will cost him his job regardless. They've had many years since the Championship in '07 to improve the bike and they haven't and besides Stoner no one has been able to extract the most from their bikes. Call a POS a POS if that's what it is. IMO Preziosi should have been fired last year.

I, too, agree that trying to acquire Furusawa's services was the final nail in the coffin. It's unfortunate that years of stubbornness have left them virtually uncompetitive. Rossi had some influence, but not enough....and Furusawa isn't interested. Dovi is going to have a rough time.

Lets just be clear here, rossi was key in the development of the M1, anyone suggesting he just took the glory for other peoples work is sadly mistaken. Anyone in doubt about this just do the research...it is fact!

Thumbs up for Forusawa, He and Rossi really make Yamaha M1 one of the best Motogp ever!! And its great to wach there respect for each other Forusawa saying Rossi is the King, Rossi saying Forusawa is number one him Yamaha=).. I can t write very well him inglis i know that and have to live with that, maybe with more time here i will make good progress but really some people here dont know how to read, its the only explenation i find to wach some comments that still try to find somethingh to say that Rossi is a fraud or not a special rider. I think comments like that are a big insult for Motogp not only for people that enjoy Rossi on is atitud him life and Racing.

So why did he make the trip if he knew already that he would never betray his ethics and national loyalty...looks like he just took an all expenses paid trip to Italy on Ducati's dime!! Yamaha getting over on Ducati once again.
