People seem to be quick to state that he denied he was quitting MotoGP.

If you actually remember back, he said that the public should wait to hear things from his mouth and not just go along with the media.

There is a big difference.

Okay. Give me a single comment from Stoner that you reckon is a moan. I will then find, with little effort, similar comments from any other rider you care to name. The accusation of Casey being a moaner is probably the stupidest accusation made by the most idiotic people on this forum.

For a rider that has more than 110 motorcycle titles through out his life deserve enjoying his 27th years of age after achieving his personal goal. It happened his number was #27.

Perfect example of a successful sportsmen. Nothing more he could ask when whole of his family is behind him.

Whatever he do next may as successful as the last one. Been there, done that...

Won't happen but I'd love to see him come back to Ducati and win some races on the 'unrideable' bike, whilst JoLo eats the bloat's lunch in the Yamaha camp.
Would be sweat. Ah well.

@ Jack

Call a tiger a tiger.......not a lion! When you make statements about not giving a thought to retirement (the rumor denial) only to announce that you are retiring a week later (which you already knew that you were going to do anyway), it makes you (not YOU specifically) sound foolish.

It was well within his right though, and hopefully he'll experience a more fruiful journey through life from this point forward.

"I'd love to see him come back to Ducati and win some races on the 'unrideable' bike"

and he probably would win some, but then bin it loads too, just like 08,09 & 10 which is probably why he left ducati in the first place. Perhaps not so much "unrideable" as more "not a championship competitive bike"
why do so many people think winning a few races proves so much if it does not win you a title.
