Sorry to hear about your mental sickness buddy, keep taking those little green and red pills the specialist prescribed for you. If you don't take em you know what happens next, mental ward and straight jacket.

Moto GP - two competitive marques & three competitive riders ! I would be bored too.
FIM needs to look at the success of SBK and re-open up the premier class to TRUE prototype status, by that I mean every atom of the machine. This will encourage those with engineering dreams and, hopefully, more competition.
Currently, if Moto GP and SBK were being televised at the same time, I would choose to watch SBK.
Good luck for you future Casey and thanks for the memories.

Going out on top of the game is a stylish thing to do.......Much as I'm disappointed to see Casey go I think his reasons are sound and wish him all the best whatever he does, and thanks for the privilege of seeing him race.

What would you do if you were 27 years old, a multi-millionaire with more money than you can spend, married to a gorgeous ex-model with a young family and already a double world champion?

Hmmn - stay at home or drag myself round the world on endless long haul flights staying in boring hotels, picking up some painful injuries along the way in return for extra millions that I don't need.

Personally I would stay at home with my family and take a well earned break.

Also, if Casey does take up racing V8 saloons he will start in a support class first so definietly won't be racing the V8's next year.

Good luck and best wishes for the future, it has been a privilege to witness your talents on a racing motorcycle.

It's not a hard decision for me - I think I would do exactly the same as Casey.

Good luck and all the best for the future and please ignore the negative comments

While I absolutely respect his decision it would be fun to see him on Ducati, stirring up the pot. Nobody would expect him to bag the WC, but just riding out there teasing all the big Jap brands would be funny.
