Valentino Rossi is not merely another rider in the paddock. He has been and remains the very blood line of the sport even if he was only to walk round the track. Not just him personally, but DORNA, MotoGP in its entirety, Global TV, God, the Queen, Ban-Ki Moon even Honda have all been DYING to see Rossi back on a competitive machine and at the front of the grid. No matter how fast he may be on the Ducati or Honda, Casey will never ever mean that to MotoGP. That's why he can announce his retirement while still at "his peak" yet the sport has suffered virtually nothing from his coming departure. If Valentino were to retire today, that would pretty much LIGHTS OUT for MOtoGP. Casey, we will miss you (ha ha), but please GO!

Yeah, I agree Rossi can only win on the best bike. That's what Mary Spies has said too. Oh wait... in 2007 Ducati was the best bike and in 2011 it was Honda
