MotoGP » Stoner: Rossi has 'done nothing but complain'

"I just feel completely sorry for Ducati that Valentino has gone there and done nothing but complain about the bike for almost two years" - Casey Stoner.

I love the way the Rossi fans talk about Laguna 08 like it was a master move. Rossi himself has said, including in the Fastest movie, that the pass was unplanned and he was out of control. As for Stoner being a quitter? He is retiring, not quitting. He has not left a job undone. He has not made a promise he did not keep. He has every right to make these comments. Who cares what Rossi did before Stoner arrived in MotoGP. Since both he and Rossi have been on works machines Stoner has won more races and had more podiums. Even if you add the year he was on the Satellite Honda MotoGP bike he has still outperformed Rossi. He had less crashes in his first MotoGP year than Rossi did in his GP500 debut year. Irrelevant when the fact remains Rossi promised and didn't deliver to Ducati. I hope Ducati keep him of the Yamaha till the new year.

Doohan was as equally as vociferous as Casey, backmarkers nowdays get nothing in compared to what Doohan gave out. I'm suprised he never actually killed Schmassman. Then again the backmarkers in theose days were a lot further behind but I suppose most of you were not watching then and hjust want to slag CRT.

@ B. Andy

You are right we do know what happened... the only rider to win back to back titles in this decade did so!! in 2008 and 2009!! 2010 is still a question mark because Rossi was challenging until the leg break however full credit to Jorge he rode to the championship!

PS. To everyone else...every rider in MGP needs the best bike to win a title. Casey did it, Valentino did it and Jorge did it!

Admittedly Casey won RACES on a pig bike for years but his only title came during the years he was on the best bikes as well....
So I do not understand the back and forth here about that!!
I do agree about the sad situation Ducati is in but 3 months to give their riders new frames (they still haven't got it yet! While Honda gave both its riders basically 2-3 new bikes in half the time...i wanted Rossi to win (not just races)on the Duc... but it seemed the support to do so was lacking.

Stoner tried to give an insight into the handling problems that he experienced- what was wrong with that?

VR and JB should have kept their mouths shut re comments about other riders

VR has not got under CS skin, but as they say 'He who laughs last, laughs loudest'

I will be suprised if VR gets the better of JL next year - his time has passed

and I aint no Aussie!

lol he feels sorry for Ducati,
this guy left Ducati because it was a POS and they couldnt fix it, wouldnt listen to riders or crew to fix it, Prezi wants to do it his way or no way at all.
this is why Casey left ducati and ran to the best bike which was HOnda..
now Honda is not the best bike, Yamaha is, casey isnt dominating anymore, finding it harder to win, moaning about chatter, moaning about arm pump, moaning about tyers, moaning about marshals not helping him which caused him to not get a decent result, moaning about CRT riders holding him up.

and he says' Rossi has nothing but complain ..

Unfortunately for Rossi, he has encountered an adversary who gives as good as he gets, Rossi has been used to getting his own way for years now with all the other riders scared to give him some back, sure Stoner only won 1 title on the duke, but at least he tried his ass off, Rossi on the other hand hasn't, I would even go as far as to say that he frightned by the duke, he will be under huge pressure to be competitive next year, it could really ruin his reputation.
