MotoGP » Valentino Rossi: It’ll be hard to beat Lorenzo

“The world title is a dream. [We] have to understand if I'm still a top rider, still fast and if I can still fight for the podium. After two seasons like this, nobody knows” - Valentino Rossi.

i think he obviously believes he can win, or else why bother?

i think the idea "no one knows" is a bit of stage setting so when he wins the crowds will go crazy

but he also seems remarkably humble, i think he realises he needed to get away from ducati and the fact lorenzo was open to a return is much appreciated.

i think were going to see a changed man but still the best there ever been......just a more humble GOAT

What a huge difference in attitude compared to that of another racer in a recent interview! Rossi has been humbled in these last two years and like he said in this interview, he is interested in enjoying racing and this is why he is returning to Yamaha. I am really looking forward to MotoGP 2013 now :)

I agree.. he is posturing down. Same thing he did with the shoulder couple seasons ago. He needs an excuse in case he doesn't excel. He thinks he is saving his name by doing this, I think it is hurting his ability to push to the real maximum.
I reckon rossi he will ride the yamaha bike very well as it will have better feel than the ducati but i dont think he will beat lorenzo as he is a master of" making the best of what he got".

2009 and 2010 saw yamaha with 21 wins between the two riders, since rossis departure 2011 and 2012 have seen yamaha win 9 races, just saying

He's already Admitting he cant cut it anymore loool!

If he's there just for fun and not actual racing he sud get the fcuk out so some young guns who are already out pacing him a shot at the few good seats available and go for a home made Uccio chassis and Bimote engine Rossi team in CRT....

if u can make comments in that way and people still think he's at that seat cuase of his tday talent compared to younger guns thats just naive, he's there so the series wont die to fast cuase ucle Ezpe and Dorna made him bigger then sport..

They sud start a real circus so all those ******* will be in a big tent and then the real racing can start again..

as i've stated in another thread, next years title will come down to these two men. the factory honda squad does not have the talent, one rider is inconsistent and the other is a rookie.
