MotoGP » Valentino Rossi: It’ll be hard to beat Lorenzo

“The world title is a dream. [We] have to understand if I'm still a top rider, still fast and if I can still fight for the podium. After two seasons like this, nobody knows” - Valentino Rossi.

I can tell already Rossi doesn't have it any more, questioning himself this early is just something Rossi never used to do. Ducati broke him like they have so many riders, at this point it'll be hard for Rossi to come back. Stoner was able to do it because he was still young but it might be the end for Rossi.

@ All for Rossi

I don't think that Rossi is going to enter the Yamaha garage, walk over to Lorenzo and say..."Heya Lorenzo-a, can I checka your settingz a?" What Rossi and his crew will likely do is dust off the notebook, set-up the M1 in a fashion that emulates what Rossi was using when he last rode the bike, ride.....and adjust.

@Realist:

Why do you keep on with the nip and tuck theory that it's virtually a walk in the park his re adapting to the M1, a 1000 with different tires, ecu/traction control etc, your being a touch er unrealistic.

What sort of racing attitude is that....He should be saying I am going to beat the Sh1t out of him.
I think the 2 years on the Ducati has got into his head or is it excuses coming already.

I did too felt Rossi's humbleness, now I'm not a Rossi fan by any stretch of the imagination, but he must be feeling the pressure already of having to perform at a much higher level next year because his to be teammate is as fast as they come. Lorenzo is the number one rider ouch, those words must taste like s**t coming from Rossi's mouth.
