MotoGP » Valentino Rossi: It’ll be hard to beat Lorenzo

“The world title is a dream. [We] have to understand if I'm still a top rider, still fast and if I can still fight for the podium. After two seasons like this, nobody knows” - Valentino Rossi.

@ there there now

Quote me on this....I give Rossi 4 races or less on the M1 before he's back up to speed. :) I am not too concerned with the test sessions, so I don't really have an opinion to offer. Bring on 2013 (...and the "there there now" vs "Realist" battles...LOL).

It's surprising why only a couple of haters are posting on this thread. Probably because they know Rossi is saying the truth and they have nothing to hate anymore. I'm not happy that Stoner is leaving. I'm happy that his fans are also retiring. They hate Rossi and the sport now. Without Stoner, they'll hate Jorge Lorenzo and Rossi and Dorna. If Stoner joins V8s, theyll hurl abuse to Lowndes and Whincup. When Stoner goes fishing, they wont buy Rapala or Penn. What a bunch of hating idiots.

rossi does not need to condemn others for his failure ... while stoner need to speak badly about rossi just to get attention ... no wonder rossi is the most likable sportsman

@Pual Haines,

Pretty right there mate but you have forgotten that the negative comments will come from those who lap up what ever comes from stoners mouth as gospel.

Dont be angry with them, they dont understand what they are saying.

"In order to facilitate the use of both Michelin tyres and Bridgestone tyres within the Yamaha Factory Team and to ensure confidentiality of data for each tyre company, Yamaha will organise separate rider pit boxes with a team manager for each rider, but the Fiat Yamaha Team will continue to operate and race as one team," said a Yamaha statement.

All you guys claiming Rossi has always shown respect to Stoner and dont know why Stoner has said what he has said must be living in fantasy land.

Rossi when asked if he would congratulate Stoner on the birth of his child stated clearly NO, I mean, this was a birth of a child, nothing to do with racing, so that shows the true colour of a man.

Whatever the reason Rossi is scared of Stoner since 2006 and until now and that is why he blocked him joining Yamaha and why he claimed Stoner never pushed the Ducati

The baby birth statement was the day Rossi dropped in the standing of most people, everything else was just racing

@ Realist
Your quote "give Rossi 4 races or less on the M1 before he's back up to speed." is vague and immeasurable. You will simply weasel your way out when he does not win any of the first four races.

If you want to show bravado, then give us a metric to measure your forecasting ability, other wise leave the talking to the grown ups.
