MotoGP » Valentino Rossi reflects on Ducati decision

“It's a great pity. I'm very sad because in Ducati I found a lot of good people... I tried to understand which is the best bike for the next two years that maybe are the end of my career” – Valentino Rossi.

A victim of his own ego.....failed miserably at Ducati despite all the rhetoric, nowhere else to go so back to Yamaha with his tail between his legs, massive pay-cut, underling to Lorenzo...that's gotta be a tough pill to swallow!
The person I feel sorry for in all this is Ben Spies, had Rossi not been prostituting himself to Yamaha he might have got the support he needed to get his act back on the road.

@The truth hurts & @pp916 Absolutely spot on!

Has anybody witnessed an Italian consuming so much humble pasta. I'll bet he rues the day he and his so called mechanic made those remarks,-a proper apology might be nice.
As far as the fastest man in Motogp is concerned wysiwyg,- if you think you might not like the answer, then don't ask him the question,-after all he is a straight talking Australian, if in fact there is another type.
Valentino's excursion to Ducati has only served to expose his weaknesses and made Casey look even better. Moving to Yamaha is a massive risk with Jorge in such exceptional form, this might not go well!
I can only conclude it's all about the money, money, money,-at the risk of repeating myself, repeating myself.

A 46 fan but a moto gp fan, two truly great riders who have chosen to end their moto gp careers the way THEY want. Stoner on top at Honda,Rossi @ Yamaha (hopefully on top). Have never been a stoner fan but would be a fool not to recognise his brilliance on 2 wheels. I hope that both GREATS can end the season with a handshake and deserved respect for eachother. Bitching and sniping at eachother is not fitting of 2 such tallents. ENOUGH!
