"I think it's just about pride. You need to give that up and ride the Ducati the way it needs to be" - Casey Stoner.

you are one hundred percent right
I have a MotoGP pass and if you watch the interview in full and read the report he doesn't mention anyone.

Most on here only go by the paraphrasing which is edited to show a good story.

As they say, dont let the truth get in the way of a good story

BTW, in the interview that photo is when they asked if he would ride and not retire to which he laugh and said no

I'm not the regular poster on here anymore, it's a dam shame that the majority of you new posters don't have a real understanding of MOTOGP and it's history, you all just want to slag each other off, slag the riders off, no wonder all the old crew have gone to rival sites, the simple fact is both Rossi and Stoner are once in a generation riders, they both have had huge success and some minor failures, Rossi is Smooth and Stoner is fast and they are crazy to watch, it's such a shame that Casey is retiring as we are losing one of the greats well before his time, how about you all start being nice to each other for once.

If Rossi and Stoner are 'once in a lifetime' riders, how come there are two?

What is the purpose of MotoGP? Is it a championship - in which case its purpose is to create a champion - one who accumulates more points than any other rider, or is it just a bunch of races where you just add up the wins? Well, they do have a nice big pot with CHAMPION written on it so it must be the first, in which case the most successful rider is the one with most championships.

Also, is it necessary to put pride aside and adapt to the tyres or does that not suit the argument?

@ BipBiprun......He has been racing against 3 aliens..ohh hang on are you suggesting that Rossi is that useless and Stoner should have won more championships and Jorge is no good as well so that make Rossi even more useless because didnt he beat Rossi and then Rossi gets on Casey's bike that casey should have won more championships on and finishes 15th in testing...Wow you really dont think much of Rossi do you.

I am suggesting nothing...Simply he should keep his head down and try to be champion this year. Otherwise for many people he will remember like the one winning on a bike a discovered and then drag the bike backwards. Of course it would not be totally true. But he should forget about Rossi and remember he did not do that well on the Ducati either. Not by my book at least. Rossi did worst by my book...but the story of fighting spirit....blabla why didn't he stay in Ducati then?
Poor him...I will not reply to this post nor read the rest of the comment so if you have something else to add lucky you :D have fun
