"I think it's just about pride. You need to give that up and ride the Ducati the way it needs to be" - Casey Stoner.

Stoner haters just cant handle the truth.He has said that you have to ride the bike the way it needs to be ridden and people on here argue with him!
Come on then guys,how many motogp riders can tell Casey Stoner how to ride a Ducati?
Hmmmmm,none!
If people want to ignore his advice thats up to them.But he has won 23 races and the world title for Ducati and that is not going to happen again for a very long time.

When Rossi can win a title on the inferior Ducati, those stats are meaningless. He can't, he wont and he failed. Anything else just excuses. He can have all the money and all fans in the world, but he failed on the bike that even Capirossi and Bayliss can win on it.

He don't deserve to be compared with Stoner as long as he had ZERO title on Ducati. He had to match Bayliss and Capirossi first.

Stoner still can win on Honda too despite having front-end, tyres and chatters problems. It doesn't seem a hard thing to do for Stoner. Nothing more left for Stoner to prove unless someone manage to beat his title on Ducati. Whoever manage to conquered the Ducati is the next great MotoGP legend.

The moaner is now venting some anger. Pride?? what about Hayden, Melandri, Capirossi... all they had pride?? Stoner better shut your foul mouth. If you know how to dance then go back to Ducati and show us how to ride that.

@some1

Really? He has to match Baylis and Capirex first? You are aware that there have been 2 changes to engine rules and countless iterations of the Ducati since Baylis won as a wildcard, right?

Memory loss.Well considering that Stoner is the only rider in Motogp history to win a world title for Ducati as well as many other race wins and podiums,i would say he is better placed to comment than most right?
As i said,it will be a very long time before anyone has the level of success that Stoner did on the Ducati.

There's always going to be arguments from different camps, as there's always been a degree or two of separation between CS & VR. But it could have been different & Rossi prevented it.... Remember, Rossi vetoed Stoner's potential move to Yamaha before Lorenzo got the gig. That means that Rossi wanted to duck a head-to-head with Stoner, while Stoner was more than happy top go head-to head with Rossi (while VR was WC as well)now doesn't it eh?
Next year Rossi has to contend with Lorenzo on exactly the same kit (& kudos to JL for wanting it that way - he's confident enough & smart enough to want nothing that can give excuses to either rider for not beating the other, and is willing to put it on the line & bet on himself and his ability alone).
To me - VR ducked a straight fight with CS, and also with JL (till now when he's little choice). Neither CS nor JL ducked the chance to take on VR - you can't ignore that IMO.
