MotoGP » Stoner: Pride, not style, key to Ducati success

"I think it's just about pride. You need to give that up and ride the Ducati the way it needs to be" - Casey Stoner.

He's not just having a go at Rossi, he is having a go at every single Ducati rider since 2007.

He is an amazingly quick rider, and watching him slide that thing around Assen was fantastic to watch.

But his personality, and especially the comments recently, are just bitter and twisted. He rode the Ducati well because he has no fear win or fall off - and for the first year it worked. Maybe with a daughter he's losing that lack of fear and that is what is costing him now, and is thhe reason he's quitting.

Eitherway - taking his comments seriously means that he should shut up about the chatter problems on the Honda (who have done more in 1/2 season to help him than Ducati have done for him and Rossi combined sine 2008) and change his riding style to suit a bike with chatter - or doesn't he have the pride to do that?

Hey FADS
Glad to see you talkin about yourself.you are not a fan of motogp,that little fall off that you mention on the warm up lap,was a big highside for stoner, as he was going pretty quick to heat the front tyre,take notice that stoner waits till everyone has gone past him,then gets stuck into the bike getting heat into the tyres,have you ever noticed, that he is nearly always last to grid up,if course you wouldnt,you are too focused on some one else, to even notice,cheers

As a rossi fan, i cant disagree with stoner here...

rossi is very proud (stubbornly so) while stoner has no pride in the first place to set aside (displayed numerous time this year alone).

Yep I notice that, selfish ain't he? Making the whole field wait while their tyres cool, I would slap him silly.

Stoner can do 3 things well, ride bikes, eat apples through a letter box, and big himself up.

@Dave
I know how it pains you but chin up your hero will be on the best bike in the paddock next year and you will be able to get of your tablets so just hang in there you will be ok,that is if he wins but if he doesn't you will have to double the intake.
