Your stats are true so if Ducati had a talented, more experienced rider who could push to a point but be smart enough to back off there may have been less wins but probably more podiums since Stoner's DNF's were out in front. That would result in a better overall finish at the end of the season probably.

If only Ducati could find a rider like that, maybe they can throw a bunch of money at him, bring on a highly respected team and get there quite easily.

maybe they could make some small improvements to get consistently on the top step a few times more and win a championship.

We can dream can't we....

Fact,

If that is true of any motorcycle racer they are in the wrong profession. They most certainly will never reach the top of the sport with that attitude.

@billace

Your sarcasm is mildly amusing. You obviously have a greater understanding of commercial business than Ducati, Yamaha, Dorna and I so I will bow to your superior knowledge. Perhaps you should Set up in business yourself in an advisory caapacity, I'm sure your credentials are impeccable.

lol, these guys apparently don't know what a new chassis is. changing a bolt or smal part of an existing chassis doesn't mean you made a new chassis. lol Ducati for the past two years produced only 2 chassis which the second was almost had the same characteristics as the first one. Ducati produced only and only one engin which was quite similar to previous year's engine. they had only one ECU which failed. now people talk about engine, chassis, electronic...etc they cant even tell what electronics, what chassis, what engine? well they have no clue. Ducati did not support thei drivers as much as honda and yamaha do. and that's a fact. you wanna beat them? you must qct like them.
