Marquez has the combination of ingredients that says He will NOT get his butt kicked in MotoGP. He's a fantastic motorcycle rider and has that winning attitude. He will be a front runner his first year even though odds are long for a rookie winning the title.

I'd like to see Ben Spies take over Alvaro Bautista's ride and chase down and beat Jorge and Rossi consistantly.

There are no factory bikes in Moto2. Only those that can't grasp that Marquez is just better than everyone else in Moto2. I wonder why no one is bitching that his bike being oh sooooooooo much faster on the straight than everyone else's. Maybe because when you look at the speed traps, his bike is not at the top. Or maybe its his weight advantage that makes all the difference. Never mind that the likes of Kallio and Espagaro weigh virtually the same as him. I guess the haters have to come up with new excuses why he wins....

"'Myselff'. Do you think Kalex are depriving their riders of their best machinery so marc can win"

Woops, unfortunate phrasing of a question if you still remember what happened last year, which was exactly this scenario... Ask the Marc VDS team why they switched brands for this season.

The kid obviously has talent & despite the Moto2 bikes being (almost) equal, it's clear that this isn't everything, even in this class. There's no denying that he's got an incredible crew behind him pretty much since the start of his career, the team's budget is way beyond what most Moto2 teams can even imagine and they can afford to go testing pretty much every other weekend between races. I would be concerned if he DIDN'T win with these preconditions as he definitely has everything he needs to do it and with almost no obstacles in sight.

U missed the part where the teams are only allowed to do a restricted amount of testing. U also missed the part where Marquez missed the majority of pre-season testing and has therefore done less testing overall than his main competitors. Don't let those facts get in your way though......

jjthekid46,
nice rejoinder. the hadners et al got their excuses all lined up. MM is a fantastic new talent and seems like a good kid all told. i think he'll give DP a very good run for his money because he has one quality that DP does not have in great abundance-mental fortitude (like JLo). i wish him well. Also agree with the poster re BS. He has'nt shown enuff to warrant that seat. Nor in my humble opinion has Redding, but AI on the other hand seems made of the sterner stuff that is needed for wrestle a bike at Motogp speeds.

So if it is pure talent how come in a race series with so much control equipment does he do most of his winning by blitzing the other 'equal' bikes down the straights, he passes with such a speed advantage time and time again it is embarrassing to watch.

In a Honda inspired championship with Honda engines I get the feeling that all engines are equal, but some are more equal than others. It should be renamed the Honda midget championship.
