@ted
Compare Stoner to the likes of Rossi, Edwards and Crutchlow. All great riders with a personality that brings the MotoGP alive!! And, not every woman marries a man for their personality LOL.

@Alison46

Yes those are out going extroverts who could talk the hind leg off a donkey, but everyone's different and Casey is more of an introvert, he is much more private and does not enjoy the publicity side of things as much, he only came into racing to race not to be an entertainer, and your not implying she's only after his money are you.

yes it was a gutsy ride, i tip my hat off to him,
but most of you are going on as if he is the only rider to ever race with a broken bone in his body...

Most of me cant believe hes racing when he has admitted to tearing almost all of his ligaments in ankle. I dont think this season is worth furthering any permanent damage. Hopefully his wound is not as severe as I fear. Cant see him walking normally for the rest of the season, good news is hes probably got enough money not to worry about working for a while.

@ Arty D

Motor racing isn'tlike tennis or football, someone can be the best without winning the championship if their equpment isn't good enough. And greatness is more than titles:
Nadal better than Federer, you could argue because of a better head to head record?
Clark better than Schumacher? You could certainly argue for it, a man killed before his time.
For the record, I would place Stoner abve Doohan, he's done it on more makes of bike. I know people will disagree with this but the fact that it can be argued before shows it is about more than titles.

I wonder how Stoner will cope next week, how recovered he'll be. I guess we'll find out but is there anyone on these forums who could give a guide based on any sort of experience with such an injury?

Why all the drama ??????
China 2008 lorenzo rode with two broken ankles and came 4th
Laguna 2010 rossi podiums with a broken leg.
How long has caseys fans been watching motogp.
Get over yourselves.
