@ recollection
youre recolection are correct. It was a month and he used a hyperbaric chamber. It only take 6 week for bones to heel under normal atmospheric condition.
But is sound so much more heroic if this fact is ignored.

Mr Rossi if your having a hard time keeping a head of nicky Hayden god help you next year. I was all for Rossi to come back to Yamaha but lately I've had a change of heart. I hope for racings sake he is competitive. Jorge has ascended to elite and will be very hard to beat next year even for vale at his peak I feel.

Rossi has been plugging away the last one and a half year for a factory that has clearly run out of ideas. That and the fact that they lack the production capacity to supply parts during race season makes for very little development.
Nicky Hayden is only there to secure their US market. he is not going to win a race on that bike either. Open your eyes.

@ Morgue
If Rossi has been developing the bike for 1.5 years and is only 7 point of Nicky Hayden , then i beg to differ that Nickey is only there to secure the US market.
ou argument is flawed. When you think about, the facts tend to support the reverse, that is, Rossi is only to there to secure the Euro market.

A team with limited resources did all they could and followed the direction Rossi sent them in. He made the bike worse and then didn't even try to ride it as hard as it needed to be( never much ahead of other Ducatis and half the race behind Nicki often enough). And to top it off the Dorna group need him to keep the ratings till they get the Spanish World Championship set up (see Yamaha's Ben Spies downfall as an example of how to make someone look worse than they actually are), so he gets to ride the best bike next year due to politics only. He rides around mid-pack at best and has damaged his legacy irrepairably. Next year at Yamaha if all things are fair Lorenzo will destroy him.
