Miserable weekend for Cal and a rewind back to last year. 3 crashes inc. a DNF, never really looked on the pace, and to top it all yet another bad start. And all that right in the middle of contract negotiations. Not much to be positive about really.

About the only upsides are that he came away without injury and didn't lose any championship positions. Hopefully Brno will see him back to his 2012 form and not his 2011 one again.

"I wouldn't say it's the track. It's not just about that. If it's slippery, you've got to learn to learn ride it...
Cal's comments about all the qualifying crashes.

I guess Cal didn't learn to ride it yet.

How slow was Cal's bike down the straight he was getting left for dead. Caught everybody up on the twisties and was then 2 bikes back at the end of the straight. I believe he was complaining about this during practice.
He and his engineers need to get their fingers out for the rest of the season, Dovi is making him look a second rater.

Check speed charts on motogp.com .. Crutchlow's M1 posted lowest top speed of the prototypes, the best being 4kph down on Dovi's. Only the CRT bikes were slower down the main straight.

@ Strex and Factfinder

He complained about this at Sachsenring as well.. Said he would catch Dovi and catch and catch but come the straight and Dovi would just pull away, even with the slipstream...

SPANIARDS AND ITALIANS DOMINATE motogp SO CAL IS NEVER GOING TO HAVE A TOP SPEC SATELLITE BIKE LIKE DOVI.
AT ONE POINT DOVI WAS OUT ON HIS OWN IN THAT BORING SECOND U.S RACE AND CLOCKED THE FASTEST SPEED OF 208MPH, SO SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT. DON'T SAY ITS BECAUSE OF DOVI'S EXPERIENCE THAT HE GOT THAT SPEED ITS BS.
TYPICAL FIGHTING BRIT GETTING A SH*TE DEAL WITH MACHINERY AND DOING THE BEST HE CAN.
CAL,STAY WITH TECH 3 AS YOU WILL FINISH IN FRONT OF DOVI IN EVERY RACE NEXT YEAR AS HE WILL BE ON ROSSI'S PIG DUCATI....LOL @ DOVI MAKING THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF HIS CAREER

Disagree with a lot of these comments. Why on earth would tech 3 give Crutchlow a second rate bike. Surely they want success with both riders. The bikes are identical, the difference being the rider. Dovi always in a position to either get on the podium or benefit from other riders mistakes or mishaps. Crutchlow never gets in that position and has now started to fall off just like last year. Its always a case of "could have" or "would have". Cal should have kept his mouth shut earlier in the season until the results came - which they havent. Its a shame but also a fact.

The fact is with stoner going and spies he isn't going to be forced out of tech3 so he should relax and just ride the bike.
could tell his pundit buddies to sod off as well cos they are doing him no favours.

@ Mal

You may or may not like Cal but whilst he was on the bike it was an interesting tussle developing between 5 riders, Cal is normally involved in tussles like this which makes watching the race that much better. If he has a big mouth so what he probably has a bigger ego but as i said before he needs to pull his finger out in the next few races. NOBBY is right he should just relax or he may find himself back in WSB.
