what sort of glue are you sniffing, joeblow? Stoner, underperforming? Oh I guess that's the reason he's ranked fourth overall in the list of grand prix winners! Internet 101. Be sure brain is engaged before submitting brain-dead comments like yours.

i know its about stoner and lorenzo so before i do that id just like to put @the truth hurts in his place... all his career? so when he switched to yamaha its because it was the best bike? not really its was a pile of poo.
back on topic
dani definitely is a contender. stoner has to limit the damage lorenzo can do at brno. but having said that lorenzo did say 'we know casey is capable of winning 7 races in a row' he's a longshot at the moment (cs27) but still a shot non the less.

bit off topic again but i really think motogp could benifit from the BSB points system... i was oppossed to the whole showdown thing becuase it strays away from the whole point of a championship, but it would add some spice to the mix... if stoner could hold out and then come back 100% fit for the final 4 races... it'd also put an end to the type of boring season we had last year where one guy oblitarates everyone else.

Yeah, but he's still never done better than 3 in a row.. Having said that, the 2nd half usually favours Casey, so hopefully he'll pull it off.. Also that point comparison to Last year is kind of irrelevant seeing Jorge got taken out at assen by sic, then he lost it at silver stone, and at Phillip island he lost his finger and was out for a few races (this year aside from the Bautista incident Jorge is on fire) Also stoner might well have had an additional 25 points to that total had sepang not been cancelled.. (rightfully it was though of course)

@DB8 don't forget that JLo crashed in practice at Philip Island last year, had surgery on his hand - missed the race (effectively ending his title defence). With no title left, he sat it out to recover. So last years points calculations are slightly distorted at the end.

Brno will be a very difficult race for Casey. The broken bone is the easy part. Torn ligaments are a b1tch.

I would be amazed if Stoner wins from here. Dani could do, and it would put a few people here back in their box if he does. But JLo has been the most consistent this year, and the Yamaha looks smoother most weekends - and better matched to the Bridgestones (discounting Ben's chunks...) Anything can happen though, and Lorenzo won't count his chickens too soon.

Yeah, I know a lot can happen and its not going to play out the same, but the numbers are still interesting. Casey was strong all last year, but the second half suited him even.more.

my only point was that jl is very right in not counting out casey.

UNDERPERFORM verb (used with object), verb (used without object). to perform less well than (another of its kind, a general average, etc.) or less well than expected:

Rossi 105. 6.17 per year for 17 years
Stoner 43 3.58 per year for 12 years.

Rossi 176. 10.35 per year for 17 years.
Stoner 85 7.08 per year for 12 years.

Rossi 59. 3.47 per year in 17 years
Stoner 42. 3.5 per year in 12 years.

Rossi 87. 5.11 per year for 17 years.
Stoner 32. 2.66 per year for 12 years.

Rossi 9 in 17 years. 52.9% Winning Percentage
Stoner 2 in 12 years. 16.6% Winning Percentage

I'm not a Stoner fanboy. I'm not a Rossi fanboy. I just like facts as opposed to uneducated opinion.

Make your own conclusions. But try to be honest about it.

@true fan was going to say the same thing.

Casey cant rely on Jorge crashing however with Dani so close Jorge cant afford to lose too keep coming second which means more pressure and a greater likelihood of an error

It may be difficult for Casey to win this year but will be influential in who wins it. If he puts himself between Dani and Jorge, that would help Dani win it this year.

But Dani needs to finish ahead of Jorge every time, that means win races.

@steveng this has been gone over many times Vale looks good when there was no strong competition but his numbers dont look so good in the years he had to square off against Casey.
