having re-read your comment yes i see what your saying... still doubt it stoners not the help your teammate type no discredit to him but his a rider of pride not team-mate glory. and in saying that it also means i dont think stoners going to be the one challenging think DP and JL down to the wire..

Only DNF's will stand in the way of George and Dani from hereon in. Casey finds himself in much the same place that Ol' Loris found himself in after Catalunya 2006. He's in with a shout, but really not much chance.
Much similarity between this and 2006. The Repsol man not getting as many wins as the Yamaha or Ducati man,
(Rossi,Hayden,Capirex),but lifting the title with a last gasp chance.
Dani can be that man this year against all odds because George is the man fo beat for the title.
A fully fit Stoner may win the lions share of the races after Misano and still end up 3rd in the championship. George knows it. Plain sailing for him.

@couch racer...If Casey and Dani take points off each other then Honda will be giving the Title to Jorge.
I agree with you though, Stoner would need some real persuading to help Dani. I hope Dani would as well, the other way round. Big thing to do in helping a team mate if you are still in with a shout yourself.
Can't see the tech3 boys taking podiums this year if everyone stays upright.

"He's just saying that to be nice.

Stoner is done. as his career amply proves, put him on a new bike which happens to be the best bike in a year when things aren't yet sorted ( the Duc in 07, the Honda in the first year of 1000cc ear) and he can win. but the other riders and bikes get sorted and Stoner starts going backward.

Given all the breathless hype about him being the fastest guy on the grid, he is arguably the most underperforming rider ever in the history of MotoGP."

@Joe Blow, that's the dumbest thing I've read on this site yet and there have been some doozies. Stoner has been one of the most exciting riders ever. He goes for it so hard he too often crashes out. He's amazing to watch. He knows that to win against such tough competition he has to find that fine edge of traction and he and the best riders are pushing that limit each lap of every race.

Case was exciting when he was on the satellite Honda in 2006, when he won the championship with Ducati in 2007 and has been
