“In Brno there are many changes in direction and a lot of right hand corners so there will be a lot of weight on my ankle and it's going to be very difficult” - Casey Stoner.

Casey Stoner is the true GOAT. Have Casey been racing during Agostini's time or Hailwood's time, you wouldn't have heard of any other names except Casey Stoner's. That's how good I believe he is. Rossi is a fraud and like Doohan, Kenny Roberts, or John Surtees, all of them would not have won have Stoner been racing at the time each of them were racing.
Yes you can compare riders from different eras as they have all one thing in common. None of them has riden the Ducati. Only Stoner has riden the Ducati successfuly. The Ducati is the most difficult bike to ride. Stoner has won on it multiple times. Recently, Rossi walked out on the Ducati project. If Rossi cannot ride the Ducati like Stoner has, then nobody except Stoner can. Being the only rider who can ride the Ducati, Stoner is definitely the Greatest Rider of All Time.

Its amazing how fast these riders can go when they are injured this bad. On a bad day, he will still be top 5 in the race. He will do better at qualifying because he only needs to put up with the pain for one hot lap.

I dont want to take anything from Stoner he is the fastest since 2006... and 2007 was just perfect for him!

He has very specific way of handling bikes and i always admire his style, but i always thought its a shame that his personality is just no go. I dont like faking but blaming your weakness on other ppl is just to low for my likings... i was a fan of him, now i will just be a fan of his riding.

Riding on the edge with Ducati, as he says, you have to be crazy... i like it, but than just leave your helmet on if it goes wrong...

Its a shame... and i hope he can find peace in him self and stop looking aroud for it!

OK lets not get carried away here :-) Yes Stoner did really well getting 4th in the race. But to say that because of this he is the goat!!! is just way off.

In 2008 in China JL crashed big time and suffered a chipped bone and snapped ligament in his left ankle, and a fractured bone in his right. He was still able to finish the race in 4th place. Two weeks later at Le Mans, Lorenzo suffered two accidents in the practice sessions but managed to post a 2nd place result. In the following race in Italy he crashed during the race after qualifying seventh on the grid. The next week at Catalunya he experienced his fifth crash in four meetings, the practice session accident forcing him to miss the race. Thats tough

If you saw the pictures of his lower leg that were posted on Twitter. You would see that he was and is immeasureably brave (and slightly mad) to ride at Indy and try & ride at Brno.

I hope he wins the championship, retires and then in a sense will be forever undeafeated MotoGP champion.

Despite 2 world titles he is still underated.

And just to everyone. I actualy like stoner a lot and had hoped he would take the titel this year before leaving...

I didnt like JL when he first came in to motogp but now He has earned my respect with his ability on the bike and has also toned down his arrogance that was simply to much when he first arrived. Now I see him as a great rider and as I said his personality has come a long way since first joining the motogp class.

@ Stacey

Try watching some races before commenting like a m0r0n...

Casey = 4 wins this season.
Pedrosa = 2.

Jokers are so pathetic...

Good luck Casey. Tough that your last season's thrown you these curve balls but hey, that's life I guess.
