They should go back to the carbon chassis! as the aluminum twin spar one only works the same (performance with both current riders), then they would be doing exactly what they intended to do with their motogp bike before being pushed to make a bike somebody else s way.
Then maybe another world championship

I think Dovi and Hayden at Ducati 2013 will be similar like Barros and Capirossi at Honda Pons. Their performances will be alike and sometimes people thought they were twin.

Basically, they will compete with each other much more intense than currently they've performed. I wish there were other tyre makers participate in this competition because on Michelin these 2 will really shine their true riding styles.

riders contracts should allow them to be able to have a one off test ride for another team before signing a contract.this would allow dovi to check out the duke before signing and would have saved both rossi and ducati the wasted past two years.

I really hope Audi money is put to good use and brings Ducati up to the level of Honda & Yamaha, would be great to see Dovi & Nicky being able to fight at the front.
What worries me for them is that Rossi had no faith in what was coming...

Another ruined career on the Ducati scrap heap
Cap Melandri Gibernau Rossi...Dovi
What his results plummet next year
A good Sat bike is better than a crap factory ride
Why dont riders understand this ?

@ beat me to it. What confuses the issue is that Rossi didn't renew his contract because he wasn't sure the requested upgrades would appear, while Nicky couldn't wait to renew his, even though for a while ducati said they didn't want him.
Personally I hope the improvements do come and Dovi gets to benefit from them.
Mind you if that does happen the Rossi haters will have a field day...He couldn't ride it and Dovi and Nicky can.
It is going to be interesting on several levels.
